The
theatrical activities in
the Complex of Secondary Vocational Schools.
In
December of 2003
fifth grade students together with a priest (who was their
religion teacher) prepared a play entitled "Three Queens" based
on an original screenplay. The play was a traditional nativity
play parodying Christmas, which was met with warm welcome among
the school community. Another successful spectacle was a
theatrical pantomime "Finding Your Way" presented during Lent of
2004. Interesting music, students acting and a poetic
commentary read by the director himself contributed to the fact
that the play was long commented as a philosophical treatise on
the life of young people. In the next school year 5 senior class
students together with their form teachers prepared the film
"Last Bell". The effects of their artistic work were presented
at the "Oscars Gala" which took place during the seniors prom in
January 2005. In February 2005 a school theatre group called "Bohema" was created. It comprised students of this school who,
during a special audition, for the first time presented their
artistic skills. Some members of this group already had previous
experience associated with performing for large audiences but
never belonged to a traditional theatre group. In the 2004/2005
school year, just within five months, thanks to the cooperation
with the Centre of Culture and Recreation in Swiecie, students
managed to prepare two theatre projects, in March 2005 -
spectacle entitled "Where the Black Angels Fall ... Drama in
Seven Scenes," and in June 2005 - farewell performance for the
group of High School graduates - "At The Farewell ...".
