The postwar history of the school
1945. In the Universal School Number 1 in Swiecie the Public
Vocational school was established. Aleksy Ceranowski became the
headmaster of both schools. In the same year the Female School
of Commerce was revived in Swiecie and Franciszka Lupa became
its headmistress.
1946. The Public Vocational School in Swiecie was renamed the
Public Secondary Vocational School. Alexander Ceranowksi was
appointed its headmaster and held this position up to 1950. In
September of 1946 the school was transferred to military
barracks.
At the same time, the Preparatory School of Agriculture was
opened. It was headed by Paweł Jagła.
1947. In the Female School of Commerce, the State School of
Tailoring was opened. The director of both schools until October
1950 was Franciszka Lupa.
1948. The training workshops for locksmiths were created and
their first director was Mieczyslaw Prabucki. He held this
position until1963.The Female School of Commerce in Swiecie was
at that time renamed the Municipal School of Agriculture.
1950. Feliks Czortek became the head of the Public Vocational
School. Its former director Aleksy Ceranowski became the
director of the dormitory. He held this position until 1951.
The Municipal School of Agriculture which was headed by Paweł
Jagła was closed, and the buildings handed over to Vocational
School.
In January of this year, the Municipal School of Agriculture was
renamed the State Preparatory School for Collective Nutrition.
At the end of 1950 the State School for Collective Nutrition and
the State School of Tailoring were closed and in their place a
two-year State School of Clothing Industry in Swiecie was
introduced. Almost at the same time (October 1950) Stanislawa
Targańska became the head of the school.
1962. The position of deputy director was introduced. The first
deputy director was Roman Ciemny who held this position until
1981.
1967. The Vocational School of the Ministry of Education moved
to the newly constructed building. The Municipal School of
Agriculture (founded in 1960) moved to the building which was
previously occupied by the Vocational School. The head of the
school at that time was Władysław Kołodziejski. In the same year
the Technical School of Agricultural Mechanization was opened.
The school was directed by the Vocational School's
authorities.
1970. The Technical School of Agricultural Mechanization in
Swiecie was changed into the Technical School of Mechanical
Engineering specializing in machining. The Municipal School of
Agriculture was renamed the Vocational Agricultural School. As a
result of the fact that the Vocational School was admitting more
and more students it needed a new building and therefore the
Vocational Agricultural School moved to the building which
belonged to the Primary School No. 3 in Swiecie.
1972. The director of the Vocational School and Technical School
of Mechanical Engineering in Swiecie was Józef Zygał. He held
this function until 1981.
In the same year, in order to meet the growing need
to study among working people, an entirely new school was
established - it was Extramural Technical School headed by Józef
Zygał. In addition, at the request of Pulp and Paper Plant a new
Technical School of Pulp and Paper Industry was established.
1973. This year the Vocational High School was established. It
educated in two professions: catering chef, and the next year
also in the profession of administrative worker - office
salesman - warehouseman.
1975. The Vocational School was named after Franciszek Zubrzycki.
In the school the position of the second deputy director (the
first since 1962) was introduced and it was Eugeniusz
Płaszczyński who held the position until1978.
The head of the workshop was Czeslaw Kurzyna. He held this
position until1989.
1976. All of the previously established vocational schools were
joined into one - the Complex of Vocational Schools under the
name of Franciszek Zubrzycki. The school comprised three types
of schools: Technical School of Mechanization, Vocational High
School, Vocational School, Extramural High School for Adults,
Extramural Technical School for Adults.
1978. The Vocational School of Agriculture was moved and
incorporated into the Complex of Vocational Schools.
Józef Grzymkowski was appointed as deputy director and held this
position until 1996.
1987. In connection with the needs of Pulp and Paper Plant in
Swiecie a new technical Secondary School was introduced. It was
the Technical Secondary School offering education in the field
of chemical pulp and paper technology. The school operated until
1995.
1988. The school was provided with a new school building –
school workshops with an area of 3000 m2.
1989. The director of the Vocational Schools was Czesław Kurzyna,
former head of the training workshops. Jerzy Rydalek was
appointed in his position and he held this function until 1990.
1991. In the Complex of Vocational Schools two new schools
appeared. They were the Technical School specializing in the
field of Mechanical Engineering and the Technical School
specializing in the field of Economy and Accounting.
1998. In this year it was decided to remove the name of the
former school patron Franciszek Zubrzycki. It was made at the
request of the School Council and the Teaching Staff.
1996r.
This date marks a very important date in the history of the
school - Ewa Joachimiak was appointed the deputy head and she
held this position until 2002.
2002. As a result of the reform of education The Complex of
Vocational Schools was renamed The Complex of Secondary
Vocational Schools. Ewa Joachimiak became its new headmistress.
Her current responsibilities of deputy head were taken by Alina
Mazur. Deputy head Józef Ryzop became the new supervisor of the
Department for Adults. In The Complex of Secondary Vocational
Schools a new high school was created. It offered the following
faculties: information management, economics and administration.
At the same time four-year technical schools appeared and they
offered the following faculties: the economic, commercial,
mechanical, agribusiness.
2003
The newly opened Third High School in Swiecie became a
part of The Complex of Secondary Vocational Schools. |
